Although thrilled when Buffy is resurrected, he's also skeptical, feeling like something has to have gone wrong. He breaks down at the sight of Buffy's dead body after she sacrifices herself to save the world.ĭespite the gang's feelings about him-especially Xander Harris's-Spike works with them for months following Buffy's death, helping them patrol and looking after Dawn as necessary.
